Alter Squadron Operations and Aircraft Maintenance Facility - Homestead Air Reserve Base, FL

Pond provided full A/E services for 100% construction documents for a new 16,000 sf addition and renovation of 25,200 sf of the existing Squadron Operations/Aircraft Maintenance Building 191. The new construction was designed to be compatible with the existing facility and to satisfy all administrative training and storage requirements.

Project elements include:

  • Demolition of adjacent aircraft pavements
  • Utilities
  • Selective demolition of building elements
  • Sitework
  • Earthwork
  • Utilities and a building addition consisting of HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection, power, lighting, telecommunications, fire alarm, and security systems.

This addition was designed to meet LEED Silver Certification criteria.
