Airfield Reconstruction Projects - Vermont Air National Guard, Burlington, VT

Pond designed three separate replacement projects at VTANG Burlington, VT to address the operational needs of the 158th Fighter Wing. The current airfield facilities, facing a combination of concrete deterioration and failure along with geometrics that are not in compliance with the UFC, are being designed to bring the airfield into compliance and provide a strong foundation upon which to advance the mission of the 158th.

Pond is widening Taxiway Foxtrot and Taxiway Delta, replacing the full pavement section and addressing the additional, off-pavement grading required to accept the UFC compliant, widened section.
Additionally, Pond is designing two new Arm/Disarm pads to the north and south ends of the project limits along Taxiways Delta and Foxtrot.

Finally, Pond is designing the corresponding apron replacement project to accommodate the mission aircraft, hangars and readying operations to include special in-ground airfield lights, perimeter security detection coordination, and airfield marking and signage.
