Pond taps Clay Rokohl as Senior Project Manager for Oil and Gas division

Pond is pleased to welcome Clay Rokohl as senior project manager for its Oil and Gas division. Located in Pond’s Woodlands, TX, office, Rokohl brings with him more than 21 years of consulting experience within the Oil and Gas industry—as well as the chemicals industry—with a focus on facility process design, process safety management, engineering management, project execution and project management.

Rokohl’s previous experience with midstream facility design, pressure relief design and managing/building teams of process engineers, proved a perfect fit with Pond’s midstream team as it endeavors to expand its midstream project and client base nationally.

“Rokohl’s oil and gas industry knowledge and diverse experience in the chemical industry, specifically his expertise in process engineering and gas compression facility management, along with his professional approach in business matters, supports and rounds out our current Oil and Gas team,” said BJ Bridges, program director for the Oil and Gas division.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University, Rokohl’s career began as a process engineering professional within the engineering, procurement, and construction business, where he was a key member on several large capital projects—domestic and international—within both midstream and refining.

Specializing in the burgeoning oil and gas industry profession known as process engineering, he furthered his knowledge and skills as a senior engineer on midstream projects nationally and internationally, and his specialized skills continued to be sought after by clients within the oil and gas industry.

When Rokohl was offered the senior project manager position, it was the excitement of developing and managing new midstream projects, in addition to the opportunity to work within a full-service engineering company, that appealed to him.

“It was the range of services offered, the decision to pursue midstream opportunities within the Houston market, and the entrepreneurial spirit that attracted me to Pond,” he said.

Emphasizing, “I look forward to developing new and exciting services for new clients and to sustain and exceed expectations for our existing clients within oil and gas,” he expressed.
