As a Construction Management Association of America (CMAA)-certified project manager, Pettit brings to Pond more than three decades of successful experience managing project teams for a diverse roster of construction clients in both the private and public sector.

With a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering Technology/Building Construction from Southern Polytechnic State University, Pettit began his career in 1988 as project manager and owner’s manager for a major architectural, design and construction company, with a focus in CM at Risk construction sector.

Pettit advanced his skills by managing teams of architects, engineers and contractors for several high-profile, multi-million-dollar construction projects, including the Georgia Aquarium, Atlanta, Ga., Pringles Park AA Minor League Baseball Stadium, Jackson, Tenn., two FBI Field Offices in Louisville, Ky., and Jackson, Miss., elementary and high school construction within the Atlanta-metro area, and multiple renovation projects for the Sam M. Gibbons Federal Courthouse, in Tampa, Fla.

“Jeff brings a remarkable diversity of experience in project size, type, complexity and role responsibility,” said Sam Smith, Associate and program manager for Pond’s construction division.

“As Pond looks to expand its current market segment participation, Jeff’s unique perspective and rich experience will allow Pond to improve its current project delivery processes and metrics as well as supporting purposeful expansion into new market segments,” he emphasized.

“Over the years, I’ve observed that the best leaders do their best to serve others and that’s my goal at Pond. My observation is that if I’m doing that, our clients as well as the vendors we work with want to do more business with Pond in the future,” said Pettit.
