Pond is proud to announce the recent achievements of Civil Engineer Kevin Hendrix, Structural Engineer Chad Warren, Oil and Gas Mechanical Engineer Barry Clark and Mechanical Engineer and Federal PM Eric Adami, who will be graduating from the 2017 American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Georgia’s Future Leaders Program. The Future Leaders Program gives the next generation of engineers an avenue to grow and sharpen their industry skills.

“The Future Leaders Program was an incredible opportunity to further develop my understanding of how the engineering industry operates, and provided me goals in my career development,” says Warren. “I was able to learn from leaders in the industry as well as network with other young engineers also working to advance their careers.”
The engineers selected are exposed to a professional developmental leadership track that includes learning from industry professionals about risk management, accounting, presentation skills and business development.

“ACEC provided industry experts on a wide range of topics that have direct implications on our industry,” says Adami, “From a visit to the state capital to witness the lobbying ACEC performs to help our industry, to hearing from insurance representatives on ways to mitigate risk, all proved to be very helpful with our everyday jobs.”

The Future Leaders Program is not only a training opportunity but it is also a great forum for up-and-coming engineers to meet and network.

“I feel it is a benefit to both myself and the company that I am able to meet these individuals as a face for Pond and discuss our work with them” says Warren. “Strong involvement in ACEC and other professional organizations such as SEAoG allows our colleagues and clients to see us as leaders in the industry. I am grateful to the firm leadership for considering me for this program.”
